I was just wondering, i've got a asus p5b deluxe motherboard and it has some advaned cooling options that are apparently fanfree allthough I an fit one if needed, can anyone tell me if there is anypoint in buying a CPU heatsync for Intel Core 2 Duo, and if yes which ones would work? Thanks in advance

Are you talking about a heatsink, or a heatsink/fan combo. Their are nice products on both ends, although if you go with just a heatsink, I've noticed that they run very very big compared to hsf units. Also, make sure you do some research and make sure that it will work well with your core2duo, nothing worse than buying a fan that's only been rated for Celeron processors...

Been trying to find heatsinks every where, all the lga775 socket ones i've found are for Intel P4, also does a heatsink/fan combo come with my CPU? I thought it might do.

The CPU will usually come with a stock HSF.
Unless you buy oem, which is the processor only.
