HDMI and VGA issue

I have a computer with no HDMI support, 1 VGA PORT onboard. I also have 2 monitors with HDMI support and VGA. One monitor has "HDMI 1" and "HDMI 2" (I'll call monitor A). The other one just has one HDMI port (I'll call monitor B).

I got an HDMI cord yesterday hoping to go VGA from computer to monitor A, and then HDMI from HDMI 2 to monitor B. Apparently, this won't work. Also, the computer for obvious reasons doesn't recognize 2 monitors.

Some options I see are:

1. Get a new video card with HDMI support
2. Get another tower and just run 2 operating systems instead of toggling between 2 monitors

Any others? Can I get VGA and HDMI to work together to see 2 different things on the windows or will I just see the same results?

Would a VGA to HDMI cord (if it exists) work?

You'll need a new graphics card that supports the standards. There are no HDMI to VGA converters that I know of, and if there are I believe it would be less expensive to simply buy a new GPU.
