I'm not a very good PC user but I'm buying a new computer and I want a full list of all the hardware I need in a computer for games and not passes the cost of 1000$.
please put full names of stuff and it's job in the computer.
I'll be very happy if someone will answer this or give me a link to another page in the forum that answers this question.

AMD 3500+ $209
7800GT $350
Asus A8N E $113
Thermaltake Sonata w/ 430w PSU $112
WD SATA 2 160GB HD $84
NEC DVD RW $40
1GB Corsair Value $84
Keyboard/mouse (around $25+)

$1017

Parts to get:
A CPU
A motherboard
Ram
a graphics card
A harddrive
a dvd drive
a power supply
a case

These are a estimate of what you need part wise that will fit in that price range.
A AMD 64 3500 venice
A DFI lanparty ultra-d
2gb's of cheap ram that is PC3200/DDR400 (corsair value select will be fine.)
A 6800gt PCI express X16
A sata harddrive by seagate or western digital - as much as you think you will need
A DVD-RW by A open/NEC/samsung
A Seasonic PSU 500w.
any ATX case that takes your fancy. If you go cheap, be careful to not cut your self, as every time I have been in a cheap case, I have cut my self, and never realise until someone else tells me or I see the blood all over the case/components.

I would go with a DFi mobo...

Whats wrong with Themaltake? I just got the Thermaltake Kandalf, and it is one of the best cases I have seen. Extremley roomy, great air flow, and it is well built.

MSI is a good brand if you dont want to spend a lot of money, and if your not into hardcore overclocking
