I had to replace my dead western digital 120 gig HD - picked up a maxtor 200 gig ata133.
I have in the closet a WD 40 gig drive, and expect to get a HD from western digital to replace the in-warranty dead 120 gig.
My question is since the maxtor is ata133, and my 40 gig Western digital is ata100, will I have any problems adding the 40 gig to my system? I figure I'd run it as a slave to the Maxtor master.
Simple question - don't know how much (if any) performance loss there would be between ata100 and ata 133.
