Hard Drives

So i wan't to dual boot Unbutu on my computer and i had an Extra ATA IDE Drive laying around. how do i set it up it as the slave drive so the SATA is the master

Your IDE channel is a separate channel because SATA doesn't do master/slave. So your IDE drive should be set to master and you don't need to do anything to the SATA drive.
