Hard Drive Transportation?

A seagate will survive any transport.....
Maxtors and western digitals......hope you pack bubble wrap in there....and those foam casings....
You can order hard drive packaging from a manufacturer which is basically a box with a huge foam spone inside......

Also, formatting your drive DOES NOT CLEAR ANY DATA.
Even writing zeros completely to the drive does not clear the date. You would have super formatting program that would write all fffs and all 000s and then random data to your driver repeatedly over some period of time.....meaning repeating the process.....

hard drives are magnetic, and even after a format, electric resonance is left on the drive.....and it is possible to retrieve data, intact, from the drive even if there appears to be nothing on it....

tapes......you could try, make sure its something with error correction....as you know....open magnetic media degrades very quickly.....*cough**cough*..floppies....zips....jaz....
