Default is this hard drive too old to use w/ new mobo?

I have a WD Caviar WD300 30.0GB; Model:WD300BB - 00AUA1
The date on it says 07 Mar 2001 (pretty old!)

One website says its interface is EIDE; another website says IDE..

Can I use this hard drive with a new motherboard?

Default yes

yes you can

as far as i know, there are no SATA-only mobos, they all have both IDE and SATA interface
