Default Hard drive data transfer

Hello all,

Recently i received two new hard drives and wish to raid 0 them, i have not done any kind of raid before but have seen it done and looked up a video on youtube just now that explains it.

My question is how would i best go about taking the data from my old single drive and transferring it to the new raid?

Would i be possible to take the whole of my old drives data OS and all and simply transfer it without needing to install an OS on the new drives?

The old drive is an EIDE and the new ones are sata if that is of any use.

Any and all help is appreciated greatly!

Default Re: Hard drive data transfer

I'd prolly try adding all drives to one computer, booting to a windows pe disc, build the software raid in disk management (if pe supports it), and copy the data.

What is Windows PE?
