Default GTX 570 Underpowered?

Hello, I am intending on buying a GTX 570 for my desktop, but I am unable to tell if it will be underpowered. Some friends of mine say that I will be fine, while others insist that I will be slightly underpowered. What do you think?

Long as you don't overclock you'll be fine.
