Default Grounding

Hey guys, just wondering how to ground myself when working on computers. I really dont want to spend extra money on those anti-static wristbands.

Wristbands are cheap.

Kingwin ATS-W24 Anti-Static Wrist Strap 6 Feet PU Plastic PVC Molding with Grounding Wire-Best Computer Online Store Houston Buy Discount Prices Texas-Directron.com

If I was you, I'd shed a few bucks to it, or risk hurting your computer.

To be honest, I've never worn a wrist band or anything. I was worried for the first few but now I'll build them in wool sox in the winter on the shag rug while watching TV, never had a problem. If don't do the wrist band thing just touch the bare metal of the case before the components and you'll be find.

I agree^^, I've never used a static wristband, just ground yourself to the case regularly.
