Thanks muchly guys, i have a Dell Dimension 3100, and was looking to send something around £50 or lower i can. I have seen a couple of cards that use the computers RAM to make them more powerful (or so i gather) whats the deal with those.

My basic specs are on here, but i have upgraded the Ram and HD:

If your motherboard has PCI graphics, then your basically screwed (to put it short and simple). The best thing to do would be to upgrade the motherboard to a PCI-express complaint one, and trasnfer your old components (if still useable) to it and then buy a new PCI-express 6600GT or 6800GS.
OOooO did i say ATI and Geforce hahaha... i meant Nvidia. i should know considering the fact that i have one.. jeeezzz

You only have PCI and PCIex1. You don't have any PCIe x16. You're stuck with a FX5500. You better not buy the last one... I need one of these for my little friend's brother.

What do you mean, "What do you mean?" I couldn't have used clearer English. I told you that you are limited to PCI and then told you that you better not buy the last card, because I'm planning on purchasing one.

PCIe x1 is not the video graphics port. What you WANT is PCIe x16. You do not have that. Video cards are available in PCI, AGP, and PCIe x16. You only have PCI which happens to be the worst. I linked you to the best video card you can get for your setup.

The one you chose was an AGP slot card. I'd suggest this one. It costs more than the MX 4000, but that's okay. The MX 4000 is beginning to suck pretty bad. Age of Empires III won't even run smoothly on it. Here's an FX 5500 PCI card:
