Default Graphics Card, Simple Question!!

basically, only just looking to to grapics cards, so i dont know much.

at the moment i have a PCI-e graphics card,

what i want to know is, whether i can replace it with a PCI-e x16 graphics.

I am fairly confident you can, but just wanted to check. Thanks

If its PCI X.
No
If its PCI Express 16 X Yes.

i'm struggling to find the make of my motherboard
however my computer is the "Dell Dimension E520"

i currently have an NVIDIA GeForce 7300LE and was looking to upgrade to a XFX GeForce 7900GS
PCI Express x16
