Default Graphics Card Problems...

Hello, for my brothers birthday he wants the "sims 2 for PC" the only problem is his graphics card is crap and can't even run battle field 1942 so me and my mom want to buy him a good graphics card and sims 2. Anyways My question to you is "Is there any Graphics card under $130
that is good enoght to run the sims 2 without lag? If so please tell me which one.

PS if the Card is alittle over $130 we won't mind cant be above $150 thought.

If you have a PCIe x16 slot, then here's the eVGA 6600GT:

If you have an AGP 4x/8x slot, then here's the other eVGA 6600GT:

Those should run the Sims 2 completely smoothly.

Well, I'm sure somebody has compiled a list somewhere with a general trend of good thru bad, but I don't know of one offhand. The best way to see how one compares to another is to google some benchmarks.
