Graphics Card Issue

Hello.

I recently bought the Nvidia GeForce 9800GT, and put it into the slot on the motherboard which was all fine. I then tried to connect it to my monitor, and with my previous cards this was done with a simple cable (DVI). However, on this model it seems to require an HDMI cable; which I have no issues with buying. but it turns out that my monitor doesn't seem to have a slot for HDMI cables (it's a relatively new monitor, only maybe 2 years old). And i was wondering really how to connect the graphics card to my monitor; and if there is anyway around this problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

So if I understood correctly, the card connects with HDMI and the monitor is DVI?

In that case you will need a HDMI to DVI cable, something like this, and I'm sure you can find it cheaper.

Odd, I would think the card should have the dvi out.

Can you link to the card?
