But luckily i nowhave a job and need to know what to upgrade first. And what to upgrade it with. Thanks for all you help in advance.

if you could give me a list in order of importance thatd be great.

Computer is mainly used for minor gaming/web browsing

ok so what vid card should i upgrade too.
looking for a mid range in price and performance and maximum compatibility

well.... if you wanna play games on high.. i would recommend you get a new motherboard too.. that only has agp.. which is pretty much dead.. well the 7800gs is keeping it alive.. but i would recommend *new mobo, psu, video card* and if your willing to spend a good amount of money, you could get a nice lil abit board (like mine :p) for 100 bucks, a antec truepower tp2 550 watt for 90 bucks, and a 6800 gs for 180 bucks.. so thats about 400 bucks, or close to it, your processor and everyhting else is fine

The games i play aren't too straining so i am thinking a new MSI MoBo and a decet $200 GFX Card and i might be getting a 500W Aspire ps for like $40 so i am looking at $350 for all that and i think ill be set untill i upgrade my HDD's to SATA(I can't do too much right now i need to save for a 5.0 Mustang)

Push for the 7800 if you can otherwise dont get less than a 6800.

Pretty much everything else is ok on that rig, you might want to change the monitor for an LCD perhaps..

i dunno bout that 7600, its 128 bit which is yucky..... and not only that, i've heard its not so great an overclock.. but don't take my word on that, considering i don't actually have one to say so.. but, i do know from experience that the 6800gs overclocks like a champ

its great that you're getting a new PSU for a good deal.

vid card: x1800xt $279-$20MIR = $259
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814102698

mobo: MSI k8N neo4-F $76.99
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813130491

so thats::

vidcard: $259
PSU: $40
mobo: $76.99

subtotal: $375.99
shipping: $9.54 (no taxes since you live in indiana)
total: $385.53

the 7900gt and x1800xt have similar performance, but the 7900gt is a bit more expensive.. something like $40.. so i suggest sticking with the x1800xt.
