im not completely sure but isn't teh pentium e2180 much worse than the athlon x2 5400?

At stock the 5400+ is faster but if you overclock it the E2180 will be faster. I should have mentioned that in my earlier post.

Thanks. Since I have no idea how to overclock processors I will probably just stick with the AMD then.

If you are willing to spend a little more the Intel E7200 is significantly faster than the E2180 or 5400+ without overclocking.

Otherwise the 5400+ is probably your best option.

I just found this online: A gaming computer for 500$?! You bet! v2.0 | Hardware Revolution is this decent? Some of the games I want to play are Team Fortress, Spore, and Ao3.
