Default Is this going to work?

Hi everyone, it's my first time here and I'm after some advice on whether or not this is going to work...

CPU: Intel i5-760 Core i5 CPU Quad Core 2.80 GHz 8MB L3 Cache 2.5 GT/s Socket LGA1156 Turbo Boost 45nm 95W

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD3 MB Intel P55 DDR3 2000 PCI-Ex16 SATA3 USB 3.0 RAID GbE LAN 8CH Audio 2oc PCB Heatsink ATX

HDD: Western Digital WD1002FAEX 3.5" CAVIAR BLACK 1TB 7200RPM 64MB SATA 3

RAM: Corsair CMV4GX3M2A1333C9 4GB (2x 2Gb) (1333MHz) DDR3 Performance solution RAM non-ECC 2x240-pin DIMM CAS 9-9-9-24 unbuffered

Obviously I still need a power supply, graphics card and a case - what can you recommend?

Oh, also... what will I need in the way of cooling?

What's your budget and where are you going to buy the hardware? Newegg usually has nice combos that saves you money.

ASUS P5P77D :: INTEL i5 750@3.6 GHz :: Asus HD4890 :: 4GB Gskill Ripjaw 1600MHz CL7 :: WD Black 1TB :: SSD OCZ Vertex2 60GB :: Corsair 750TX :: LG L204WT :: Windows 7 x64

<<<<<<<<<< If you think I've been helpful in anyway rep me :p

Well unless your overclocking you should be fine with stock cooling, i would still buy an aftermarket CPU cooler because the stock ones are so bad; even a 35$ would be better. and yeah whats your budget like ?
`Core i7 950 || `Gigabyte X58A-UD3R Mobo
`Cooler Master V6 CPU Cooler || `G.Skill 1600Mhz 6gb DDr3
`Saphire Radeon HD 6870 1gb || `2x WD Caviar Black 640gb RAID 0
`Cooler Master HAF 922 || `Corsair 750HX PSU

My budget is around $1200 I guess, I'm not too fussed. But I don't use the computer for gaming or anything like that so I don't want to waste money getting the best of everything.

I live in Australia so I can't buy from Newegg, already checked that out. I'm buying from an Australian online company. This is their website: GREENBOXiT A.B.N. 63 105 635 809

What are you using this for, if not gaming? AMD is cheaper if you want to go that route.

Why not get an SSD, keep your 1TB drive for storage? I'd recommend anything OCZ, I have the Vertex 60GB. There are others as well.

I have this PSU: 650W "Corsair" TX-650 ATX Power Supply 80 PLUS Certified 2x 6+2 PCI-E 8x SATA 8x Molex 5 Year Warranty
You may not need the overhaul, though.

Cases are personal. See what you like.

This site really needs to work on its pictures.... Found this one, seems to be better:

I'm not sure what your needs are but this build would work well.
If you are looking to build a system, I would recommend picking a motherboard/CPU package from and working from there. The specs tab on the motherboard will help you pick the additional hardware.

When it comes to the case, I would go with a standard well built one like I posted. If you want one with all the LED lights and clear plastic design cutouts, then look at reviews and spend about $100 on one. The cheaper "cool looking" cases are not built well and are typically flimsy.

Also, one of my favorite sites for finding electronic deals is
BB simply displays current deals throughout the web. Including any PC Hardware/accessories. I check the website a couple times throughout the day to see if any good deals have been posted. You can typically find a flash drive for $1/GB (16GB flash drive for $16). However, the deals/coupons only last between a few hours and weeks (at the most).

Good luck
