"Outperforms". The 980ti "outperformed" the Titan X too, until guys who actually owned them showed why.

The Titan X had a lower boost clock than the 980ti from the factory but also the fan ramp profile was doomed from the beginning. At full boost the TItan X outperformed the 980ti easily (and I cream all of them at 1540). I have a feeling this'll be the same deal. It may have the same core count but it's missing quite a few ROPs compared to the Titan X. We'll have to see if the tiled caching makes up for it or not.

Neat - they also announced that GameWorks will run on any DX12 hardware (though I'm guessing be 'most optimized' on Nvidia).

Nah, for 699 the ti is the way to go.

Anything that fits the Titan X now will fit the 1080ti. So it's just a case of making a bunch that say 1080ti.

I've read a lot of people with the Hybrid have noticably cooler output temps.. and my current 980 heats up the house too damn much
