Default GF 9600gs specifications.

Good day everybody,

I am in the process of upgrading this rather old card (and my PSU) however i am wondering what the specifiications are on the Nvidia GF9600gs all i can find are 9600gsm or gso specifications, are these the same cards?

I am wondering because i wish to make 100% sure i have a PCIe slot, now looking from pcwizzard the 9600gs is plugged into my PCIex16 slot, which is why im not looking into my case right now as its my first time replacing a card so dont want to have to do it more than i have too! i.e. take it out to double check then put the old one back in.

i think my mobo is: Packard Bell BV MCP73

thanks for any help in advance.

It's a Packard Bell OEM based on the 9600gso, except crappier.

Yes, you have a PCI-E slot. If you still have the prebuilt PC this came in (likely) then you will have to upgrade your PSU when you upgrade your GPU.
