ok so i have no idea ot id get a 6800XT or a 6600GT

i think the GT is quite a bit better, but the 6800xt ha 256inerface so its good for all round things...

also which out of this would be the best?

Gigabyte 6600GT Vivo 256mb gddr3
xpertvision 6600GT 256mb gddr3
MSI nx 6600GT 128mb grr3
Gigabyte geforce 6600GT 128mb gddr3
Asus 6600GT 128 mb gddr3?

i got a gigabyte k8ns mobo and nforce3 250

2500k @ 4.5Ghz max: 81C idle 33C
8 gigs ddr 3 Kingston Hyper x T1 @ 1600mhz

256mb's doesn't really matter with the 6600gt. But for the manufactuer MSI and ASUS would be my choice closely followed by the Gigabyte.

I've heard that the new 6800XT (350/900) with 256mb of GDDR3 256bit memory is going to have at least 8 pipes if not 12, and will beat the 6600GT. However, it's illogical to say that the current 6800XT (350/700) can beat the 6600GT (500/1000), when they have the same amount of memory and pipelines. If it is possible, I'd be shocked.
