Talking gaming pc need help

Hey guys, I just found this forum and you guys seem to be the best person to ask my question . Ok, this is my second computer that i am buying. Mine made is time, 5 years old almost 6. I can't run todays game anymore I found a couple of site on internet like www.cyberpowersystem.com www.ibuypower.com. I made my my research on those site alot on negative comments. Yesterday, i found a site called www.buyxg.com made my research all i found is positive although they only ship in US thats not a big problem. Here's the system I built(oh by the way im a big noob when it come to computer hardware).

CPU : (939-pin) AMD Athlon™64 X2 4200+ Dual-Core CPU w/ HyperTransport Technology

Mainboard : (Sckt939)EVGA nForce4 SLI Chipset SATA RAID Dual PCI-E Mainboard w/GbLAN, USB2.0, &7.1Audio

Memory : 2048 MB (1GBx2) PC3200 400MHz Dual Channel DDR MEMORY (Corsair Value Select)

Video Card : NEW!!! ATI Radeon X1900XTX PCI-E x16 512MB VIDEO CARD

Hard Drive : 200GB SATA-II 3.0Gb/s 8M Cache 7200RPM Hard Drive

Hard Drive 2 : Gaming Hard Drive (10,000RPM SATA150) (SATA150 - Western Digital Raptor 36.7GB 10,000RPM 8MB Cache WD360GD)

Optical Drive : (Special Price) LG GWA-4161 16X DVD±R/±RW + CD-R/RW DRIVE DUAL LAYER (BLACK COLOR)

Optical Drive 2 : (Special Price) LG GWA-4161 16X DVD±R/±RW + CD-R/RW DRIVE DUAL LAYER (BLACK COLOR)
Sound : Creative Labs SB Audigy SE

no screen
total price: 2095$ USD = 2420$ CAD

is that system good, my budget is 2600$ CAD max. Don't know if the part are total crap i don't want to pay for a comp that will work for 1 week lol. Personnaly i would like to buy from a canadian site but didn't find one that sell that low. I would like to run HL2, Doom 3 , CS:S, DOD:S and WoW on this comp with all the graphic at the max.

Some more question:

Would it be cheaper to built my own comp and buy the part on the net?

Having 2 video card work at the same time stronger then one alone ,but stronger?

What kind of motherboard should i get?

Thank you

Sorry, for my bad styntax, grammar, spelling mistake, etc. English is not my native language :P.

it all looks good enough aside from most people here will tell you to go for an nvidia graphics card. if you are interested in learning to overclock you could get the x2 3800+, which will save you money and its simple to raise it to the performance of the 4200+

I don't really like the motherboard or the video card. Get an MSI K8N Neo-F 4 for the motherboard and a 7800GTX for the video card, or if you can't afford it get the 7800GT.

BUD dont buy a pc from one of those builder sites, you will get screwed, prices are high, and i bought on and you can build a better pc for around the same price, first the ps on that case wouldnt be sufficient to run SLi, you def want to upgrade that vid card, i have a msi 6200 256mb and it wasn't great, so i bought a 7800gt. i wouldnt run sli anyways because its so bloody pricey and at most only a like a 10-30% increase in quality at least a 200% increase in price. if u want a 6200 build this pc and ill sell u mine cheap, im not going to use it.
this is definately a decent set up w/o vid card because i dont know how much u want to spend, but i wish i just built my pc it would kick. and if u want to go cheap go for it, but these parts i know are definately good
