I think thats playing it a bit to safe ... I think you would do fine with a Athlon 3200 and a Nvidia 7300Gt or 7600Gs. But yes 1gb ram and the 160gig HDD Is good maybe 120gig HDD would do ?

That sujestion from brinks seams reasonable, Maybe downgrade to the 7600GS ang get another half gig to 1gb of ram so you would then have 2 gb ram ?

And maybe you could use the Athlon 3200 + Orleans with AM2 Socket.

Then change your motherboard for the AM2 Socket.
This leaves you with an easy upgrade to dual core processors.

Video card is more important than RAM. Get the better video card and less RAM.
