Default GA-MA69VM-S2 with AM2+ CPU question

Hey guys, looking to pick up a cheap mobo/cpu/RAM/gpu combo (under $150CAN) for a friend off the local classifieds, I'm looking at the GA-MA69VM-S2 motherboard and I'm just curious about the following from gigabytes webpage:

*Note: If you install AMD AM2+ CPU on AM2 motherbord, the system bus speed will downgrade from HT3.0(5200MHz) to HT1.0(2000 MT/s) spec; however, the frequency of AM2+ CPU will not be impacted. Please refer "CPU Support List" for more information.

The support list: GIGABYTE - Support&Download - Motherboard - CPU Support List - GA-MA69VM-S2 (rev. 1.0)

How much will that affect low-mid level game play. She plays mainly wow, dota and some l4d. I'm just wondering about future upgrade ability to AM2+ sockets.

Thanks
