Default G. Skill F3-17066CL7D-4GBPIS unavilable

Looking to buy this RAM for a build and can not find it except out of country. Seems some places claim it is discontinued. Anyone know about this? Something wrong with this product. It is the only DDR3 2133 on my vendors list. Thanks

Newegg.com - G.SKILL PI+ Turbulence 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133 (PC3 17066) Desktop Memory Model F3-17066CL7D-4GBPIS

What are you doing with 2133rpm RAM? 1600 is enough for any overclocker.

Here's an equivelant I'd suggest: Newegg.com - G.SKILL Ripjaws X + Turbulence II Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133 (PC3 17000) Desktop Memory Model F3-17000CL9D-4GBXMD

He was looking at 4GB, but that is a good deal.

I guess you would call it wanting to play with different RAM. and was wondering why this ram was always unavilable. Thanks for the responses.

unless you are using it to it's full potential, you will never ever need it that fast. Depends on the board, too. Some may only accept 2133 if you overclock it.
