Default Front Panel Firewire

My case has a front mounter firewire port, but my mobo doesn't have a firewire header. I do, however, have a firewire PCI card with an internal firewire port. Is there any way I can connect my internal port to my front panel, by using an adapter or something?

The front panel firewire port should have a cable attached to it, just plug it into your firewire PCI card's header.

Or is the internal one on the card just a regular one but on the inside?
