I guess you could say I started building the computer from the wrong way. I first looked at the heatsinks and I found one that I really liked. The only problem is that it fits only the AMD Socket 754/939 motherboards. Now I looked at some and found one but it supports only DDR and not DDR2 or DDR3. Is there a new AMD motherboard for the Socket 754/939 which supports DDR3 maybe?

Sorry to tell you but it would be a complete waste of money to even consider a socket 754/939 build.

Those sockets are around 5 years old now.

Oh, my bad. It has the AM2 socket too. Now I looked up some motherboards and I was O.K. with it but I got confused with the processors. Some processors demand socket AM2+. Would a processor with AM2+ socket work with a heatsink that has only AM2 socket?
