Formatting Without a CD Drive?

Is it possible to format a toshiba satelite laptop running Windows XP without a cd rom drive just a floppy drive?

there are plenty of floppy disk based format utilities out there, google for them. at the very least you could use a windows 98 boot disk and format as FAT32. now re-installing may be a bit trickier

u could buy a usb cd drive and do that if u still want xp
