Sapphire is merely the company that makes the card. There are many different card manufactrors, but the main reason some are seen as better is because some companies have a higher reknown for making good products. ATI is a major manufacturor of GPUs, but Sapphire is very good as well. With Nvidia chipsets, EVGA, PNY, and XFX are some of the more trusted brands because they offer certain warranties, and you can be assured that your product will be good quality. I personally do not know very much about Sapphire and Radeon cards as an Nvidia user. wikipedia and google are always handy reference guides though.

from the reviews it looks pretty good. only complaints was the lack of RAID support, and somewhat limited OC options...
