Thanks for your comment. I have read lots of success stories with this processor being able to OC up to 3.2 with ease. If this is not the case, then I definately want to look at another processor.

Good point. I think 2 x 4850's would be the highest I would probably go.

Thanks!

The arctic cooler won't do the job?

Can you recommend a better one?

Thanks!

Well, in my opinion, the Arctic Cooler would get you close. Depending on the OC ability of the CPU you get. But to be safe, you can always look into the Tuniq Tower or Xigmatek HDT-S1283

The Q6600 is a great CPU. there is abad batch of them, but nothing major. If nothing else, look around and find somewhere that guaranties G0 stepping.

Yeah, your techies sound like they are just prejudiced against ATI. Nvidia wiped the floor with ATI for a long time, but the last two generations of ATI chips have been awesome. That is coming from someone who used to be a die-hard nvidia user.

Is the one from Newegg G0 stepping? I am not sure but great point since I heard that G0 stepping allows for better OC'ing capabilities.

Thanks again!
