unfortunately yes. i really thought it would perform atleast on par, if not, exceed what a 4890 offers since it's basically supposed to fill that 5770-5850 performance/price gap. price wise it accomplishes its intended purpose, it just needs more performance to back it up.

even in power consumption and temps, its meh. at idle both temps and power consumption are better, but at load both are pretty similar too what you'd expect from a 4890, so..
5830 just costs too much right now IMO.
