ATA not SATA

ATA/PATA/IDE/EIDE are the same thing

Alright, however, it is a cheap mobo. Does it have a good video card?

"PATA 1 x ATA100 2 Dev. Max"

And it has four SATA connections. I don't even want those.

Is there a good motherboard that can do dual core and IDE, without having SATA connections and only one or two IDE?

Edit: Why couldn't I just take the entire origional list, except get a single core processor?

there are no mobos without SATA. it is the hdd connection today. dont expect to find a board without it.

dual core is always worth the jump from single. more cores is most always better.

do you need a good vid card? the onboard should be ok for you unless you are gonna game

Newegg.com - G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Retail
get some of that ram. MUCH faster, for 4 dollars more. (it is 40 bucks off)
and try to find a 3850, for not much more than that $140 card.

3850?
Newegg.com - HIS Hightech H385F256NP Radeon HD 3850 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - Retail

More expensive, and I can't find 1gb.

And for the memory, don't I want to match the bus speed of the board? Which is 667.

The total is: $374.89

video RAM in a card doesn't matter unless you run at a super high resolution, plus the hd3850 doesn't even come in 1gb

also as for the RAM it suggests ddr2 667, not requiring it, so you can run the ddr2 800 in there

and the ddr800 will be faster. And with this system you wont be using anywhere near 1gb of memory. Shoot, I run at 1900x1200 and I only have a 512mb card.

If you a gamer then I would get 8800GS
Newegg.com - XFX PVT88SFDF4 GeForce 8800GS 384MB 192-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Retail

384MB 8800GS does perform much better than 1GB 8600GT
