Alright so I'm finally building my first computer. I got all my hardware installed and I press the power button and all I get is a loud high pitched squeal. I cant tell exactly where it is coming from, but it seems as though its coming from the power supply. It doesn't sound like a Post code beep, as I said more of just a high pitched squeal. I took a closer look at the display on the motherboard and it seems to go between 23 and 46, and then I believe some other numbers, and then it finally stops and stays on 7F. I have the eVGA 590 SLI so I have Phoenix BIOS.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

More info on your other hardware to help us better understand your system.

I have never heard a high pitch squeal from a computer motherboard. Sounds more like your PSU or monitor.

Firstly, what I always do is install each hardware one at a time, then if anything goes wrong, you know roughly where it went wrong.

So first just install Mobo, PSU , single ram and your graphics. If you mobo has onboard graphics, you can try that first as well.
