well im looking over all my parts to make sure ill have everything ready to build, and i don't know if i have anything to hook my cd/dvd drive up with. The drive it's self is OEM so nothing comes with it. The drive and all my other parts are listed above. My motherboard says it has storage for 2 ata/atapi devises, so i think that may be it, but i wanna be 100% sure

ya your motherboard comes with the IDE cables you'll need for your dvd writer.

Ok ive changed my motherboard to one that supports crossfire, and i noticed the cables were different. This new motherboard has the ribbon kind of cables that my current pc has. Are those IDE or ATA? Heres the link to the motherboard

ok i wiki'ed it and found out that ATA and IDE are in fact one in the same. Someone could have saved me the hassle and told me that right off the bat.

Well im hopefully gonna be ordering everything tomorow or the day after. Thanks to everyone who helped out. If anyone has some "make sure you do/don't do this" advice it's well welcome. I'll post again if i run into any problems during the building process.
