OK - finally gonna place my order, but can't decide on a mobo for my i5 2500k.

This is the one I was thinking about, but would like opinions or other options.

too bad you didn't buy them during black friday/cyber monday.
that board you are looking at was $169 before rebates with free shipping, after rebate its something like $150

That board has alot of nice features / Nice memory options / The only issue would be compatible memory . Id check that and see if there is any problems with memory modules(voltages etc... Sometimes memory and MBoards dont play well together) .Especially if your migrating your current memory to this board. Looks good / solid board .
I went with the ASUS in my sig .Recent upgrade and im impressed with the quality in this particular board/ in no way am i steering you toward this board just sharing my hands on experience with the current hardware , The later the Generation / the less problems/quirks your going to have .

I'd say take a look at feature comparisons and decide what exactly you'll need/want.

Personally in order I'd go from that list, for the features I'd need/want:
MSI Z68A-GD65 (G3) > Asus P8Z68-V/GEN3 > Gigabyte Z68XP-UD3P
