Default Finally my new build

I've finally started to order some parts for my new gaming rig. I don't really have that much money to spend on this computer. Most of the specs are in my sig. I want to sell my current pc (also in the sig) to get a bit of extra cash. How much do you figure I can get for it?

Here are the links to what I will soon be buying, any suggestions are welcome:

Motherboard: https://www.shoplci.com/details_en.a...TB-MSI-939-080

CPU: http://www.oemexpress.com/Itemdesc.asp?CartId={8A45CED6-6648-46D6-B933-0CECAA76FA46}&ic=CPUAMD%2DADA3000B&Tp=

RAM: http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applicatio...p?EdpNo=587478

Video card: http://www.ncix.com/products/index.p...nufacture=eVGA

Harddrive: http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applicatio...?EdpNo=1487623

I will most likely need a new psu (I have the cheapooo one that comes with a generic case) so I'd like some help picking one out. Nothing to high in price, BTW I will be overclocking as much as possible.

THX

Looks good.

Any particular reason why you're only going with a 3000+?

Look for Antec's SP-500 500 Watt ATX12V v2.0 PSU:

Money is the main reason. I can pick up the 3000+ for $149.99 plus taxes and the 3200 is $185.99. Is it really worth it, because im overclocking?

Have you looked at the XFX 6800gs XXX edition, it sounds good, don't you think?

There is no way that I'm going to go with XFX, their products are by far the biggest pieces of crap that you'd ever spend your money on. I think that 3000+ overclocked to the max would be good enough for me. Put it this way, I'm playing CSS on my **** with 3.0GHz P4 HT with a Radeon X300 128MB. I get about 40-42 FPS with not to many special effects and I don't mind so I think this will be a huge improvment whether it be a 3200 or a 3000.

wtf, why tell him to get an Antec PSU? recomending it is not bad but not everyone is going to wont a Antec because of price.

Id recomend this Fortron Source Dual 12v 450watt PSU though to Anyone cause its probably the Best bang for your Buck PSU, and i also hear Fortron is Reliable... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817104954

----------------------
and im with you, i would not spend that much more just to get a 3200 over a 3000... id go with the 3000.

and Id recomend anything besides Maxtor... Samsung / Seagate / or WesternDigital..... Personally iv never had a bad experince with a Maxtor... Iv owned both Maxtor and WesternDigital.... However the last Maxtor i ownd was only 20GB, and Small drives have higher reliablitiy... so i cant vouch either way for Maxtor, But just to be on the safe side, Id avoid them.

I have the eVGA 6800GS too, i tested all my parts on the Bench and i love it... i just need to get everything setup properly to put into my pc case so i can have fun.

Is this power supply any good?

http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applicatio...514&CatId=1078

I know it's kind of cheap but it looks like it has decent specs.

You must be in Canada then, im guessing... otherwise you would wont to avoid Tigerdirect.

at Newegg.com that PSU is $20 shipped after Rebate. I would not Buy a PSU that cheap for a 3000 venice and 6800GS.

I dont now much of Coolmax, i only used one of there 400watt PSUs for a Cheap Celeron system. I wouldnt pair it with high performance parts though.

Take a look at this Fortron Source 450watt Dual 12v PSU, for $67 CAD. I dont know how much shipping is, but hats $57 USD witch is exactly how much it ships for over at Newegg, and is the one i would recomend for the best bang for your buck....
