It looks good. If you don't plan on adding a second 4870x2 in the future a Corsair 750tx would be enough power.

If you will be overclocking I recommend getting a Xigmatek Rifle to cool the cpu

Newegg.com - XIGMATEK HDT-S1283 120mm Rifle CPU Cooler - CPU Fans & Heatsinks

I was planning on maybe getting another 4870x2 in the future, though I'm not sure about scaling. Some games even seem to run slower with 2 of them, but the extra watts are good for some overclockage. How about the E8500? Should I get the E8600 instead?

Someone said they'd rather have a E8600 and single 4870 instead the E8500 and the 4870x2.

By the way should I get this RAM or this RAM?

Also, would a 750w be good for overclocking?

Wow, that ram is twice the price. Its very good, to have such low timings ar 1100Mhz, but i personally couldnt buy just cause i could get stuff that is still pretty good for half the price. Up to you.

That motherboard is a bit overpriced IMO, i would think about getting a slightly cheaper one and getting a better cpu, like the e8600 or even a q9550.

And year that corsair 750w would be fine for overclocking, i think it could even handle 2 4870x2s, but if u think u will go xfire, go for the 1000w.

Why should I get a quad? And is the E8600 really that superior to the E8500?

You contradicted yourself :P

Go for the 750 TX.

The E8*** series are the same, but when the numbers go up E8400/E8500 usually just means that the higher series either has a higher multiplier or default clock (E8400 = 3.00ghz, E8500 = 3.16ghz)

I was actually thinking of going for this PSU.

So yeah, is the E8600 worth the extra $100 over the E8500?

I've been going over it, and which is the best for gaming?

E8600, E8500, Q9550, Q6600?

The Q6600 and the E8500 are both the same price on Newegg, so in that regard it's just a matter of which is superior, for gaming I mean.

The E8600 is a $100 more than those two, and the Q9550 $50 more than that, and I can't decide.

Oops, i meant the 750w probably could do it xfire 4870x2, but the safe bet would be the 1000w. Better to be safe.
