Default Feedback on my future rig?

I am in the process of starting to buy my new rig. It's this first time I've spent this much on a pc, I usually don't have too much of a budget but I am going to treat myself as I got a new job. I currently have an AMD 2.4, 768Mb Ram, 80gb, GF4 Ti machine so you can tell a big upgrade is happening.

Please let me know if I am making some errors.

PSU Antec Truepower 550w

Mobo Asus A8N-SLI (nForce4 SLI, 2000MT, DDR400, 2x PCIE 16x, Dual Raid, GBLAN, 8 Chan Audio)

CPU AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 3800+ (2.0ghz/2x512kb/0.09u/E6)

or if I cant afford the dual core

CPU AMD Athlon 64 3700+ (2.2ghz/1mb/0.09u/San Diego)

Memory GEIL Value Dual Channel PC3200 DDR400 IGB Kit (2x 512mb)

or if I can afford it

Memory Corsair 2GB (2x 1gb) PC3200 DDR400 Dual Channel

Hard Drive WD Caviar SE SATA 200GB 7200RPM

Video Card XFX Geforce 7900GTX 512mb DDR3 Xtreme Dual DVI/TV

or if I cant afford above

Video Card XFX Geforce 7900GT 256mb DDR3 Extreme Dual DVI/TV

Sound Card Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS 7.1

Other Stuff Logitec Cordless Keyboard and Mouse, probably another WD Hard Drive.

i would add a more powerful PSU, and a faster DVD drive (16X), as disks are already getting rated at 8X minimum.

Your PSU is requiring 460 watts already...so 550 watts might not be ample...

Hey Talldude123,

Thanks for that. More money spent on a PSU *sigh* but if it has to be done. Thanks for the link to that website, it's really helpful.

I'll definately get a faster DVD drive, that's easy and cheap.
