Default Factory Recertified? Should I stay away?

Saw this: Gateway GM5664 TV Desktop Phenom quad-core 9600/3GB DDR2/ TB Serial ATA II hard drive (2 x 500GB)/Blu-ray High-definition hybrid DVDRW/CD-RW /ATI Radeon HD 2400XT graphics /15-in-1 media reader/digital TV tuner/Vista Home Premium/Factory Recertified

It's a very good deal for what all it has (excalty everything I was looking for but a good video card). Only down side is if/when I upgrade the video card the psu will have to be upgraded aswell.

It comes with a 2 year warranty under $700 (Carry-In Service) for $40 I'll probably get that.

Are factory recertified items worth it? I'm assuming they're fully tested it to be working.

If the warranty is that of a new one I'd say it's as good as a new computer.
