dvd software with least power consumption

i am traveling next week on a plane and i wanted to know what was the best dvd playing software that uses the least battery because i am currently using POWER DVD but i can never finish the movies that i watch. i read that my laptop should has enough power to be able to watch a two hour movie. will i use less power if i copy the movie to my laptop so i dont have to put in the dvd when i am on the battery?
any suggestions?

that sounds plausible to me if its on the drive it will in effect not use any power for the actual dvd player.

tell you what try it now and just let the movie play then when its over see how much battery is left. by the way can you still carry that thing on a plane ?

as far as am concerned you still can otherwise i would of known but i'll check into that anyway. also i'll try what you said.
