Default DVD Drive, Power Supply, Plus more

When putting together the computer, I am having some problems.

1. My DVD drive cord is a long white strip that is really skinny. There is no place to fit it in my mother board. What do I do?

2. There's a million cords coming out of my power supply, and I need very few. What do I do with all the extra cords provided?

3. Should I hook some power cords directly up to my fans, or should I plug the fans into the motherboard?

1. sounds like IDE. i have never seen a mobo with an IDE connection, unless it is a newer intel X58 mobo. keep looking

2. if you can fit them in a HDD bay and use zip ties to tie them together.

3. i would hook them up to the PSU instead of the mobo if i could not get a fan controller, which is what i would use in the first place.

The only thing ATi can render faster than nVidia is the BSOD

is this the mobo that you ended up going with?

Newegg.com - EVGA 141-BL-E757-TR LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX X58 SLI LE Intel Motherboard - Intel Motherboards

if it is, then unfortunately you're out of luck. this mobo no longer supports the older ide connections, only sata. you'll have to buy an sata dvd drive.
