Okay, I just put in a dvd burner in my computer. I removed the cd burner that was in it before and put all the wires in the proper places (I think). When I try to burn anime and make it an ISO (Data disc), it says

Disc required for the compilation: DVD R/W, DVD R DL, DVD-RAM

Disc type in the recorder: DVD+R

I think there's something very wrong here. I have this DVD burner.LG burner
It says that DVD+R is supported, yet when I use it it says it isn't. I don't think it's a defect or anything. And it's brand new, so nothing should be busted. Is it just something I'm overlooking? I'm using Neroburning btw to burn stuff. Please help..........this is making me loose my cool.

I had a similar problem myself some time ago.
First make sure the jumper is set correctly if that's the only cd/dvd rom you
currently have on that machine set the jumper to either master or cable select, and try a different cable to just incase.
If that doesn't work try i different brand of dvd+rw i had dvd rom's that wouldn't burn certain brands. If it still doesn't work then you have a busted dvd rom.Just because is brand new does not mean it cant be busted; Machines do make mistakes after all.

Hope that Helps
