a DX9 card can not run DX10 or vice versa, you can play DX10 games with DX9 card and vice versa. DX10 is only available in Vista( you cannot use DX10 in XP it is only for vista) I think XP will run DX9.0l?? kinda like a cheap DX10

Yes you do, DX10 needs specific Vista subsystems to work. You can't get it on XP.

Uh...no, they won't. You cannot add subsystems to the kernel of Windows.
