Default Duel Channel for Dimensions 4600

Im upgrading my Dell Dimensions 4600 pretty soon with 1gb on memory. I went to Best Buys and they asked me if my computer allows Duel Channeling. Well I didn't know and thought I would ask here. Another thing I wanna ask is whats the speed for this situation? Thx.

I myself have a dimension 4600, and no i dont have dual channel capability on my motherboard, but i also got it 2 years ago.

But chances are that you dont have the capability to have a dual channel ram.

Are you sure you didn't have Dual Channel? Cuz Im looking in my Dell Dimension 4600 Manual and it says:

Architecture Dual Channel DDR SDRAM

Memory Connectors Four

Memory Capacities 180-, 258-, 512-MB, or 1-GB
