Dual Core P4 or dual Pentium d

im still not shure about the whole amd or intell thing. but if i choose intell what is betetr the 3.4ghz pentium d or the Dual Core pentium 4 w/ hyperthreading. yet again heat isnt a huge problem. i have 4 case fans then the proccesor fan and a heat scoop.

The Pentium D would probably be better. But still, it's pretty crippled compared to the AMD Athlon 64 X2 family,

i don't think there's a dual core pentium 4. intel has a dual-core processor called Pentium D. and if you want a dual-core Pentium D w/hyperthreading, there's the Pentium D Extreme Edition which costs around $1000. i think you're better off with the regular Pentium D's without hyper-threading
