Dual Channel??

ok heres my motherboard...

eVGA nForce-4 SLI

i bought this computer from ibuypower.com and so far im really happy with it.... i got 2x512 of ram. now my question is.... there are 4 dimm slots one colored blue yellow blue yellow in that order.... currently the 2x512 is in the blue and yellow but shouldnt it be in the blue blue or the yellow yellow for dual channel?

No. It is configured properly.

When you boot the computer, the boot screen should display "dual channel". Does it? Also, check your motherboard manual. You should have recieved one with that new computer.

No, they should both be in the same color slots, so they should both either be in the blue or in the yellow.

I have a dual-channel mobo, and my boot screen doesn't say anything about dual-channel.

hey, i didn't realize the other night when i was talking to you that you have the same mobo as me. the ram needs to be in the same color slots for this mobo, slots 1 and 3.

so it should be in slods 1 and 3 which are yellow?

yup thats right. they prolly got it wrong because there's a misprint in the mobo manual.

Blue

and not

Blue
Yellow
Blue
Yellow.
