you'll need to buy one if the motherboard doesn't come with integrated audio....or if you want better sound quality than what comes with the mobo....and no...there is no audio on the graphics card...

I say hold off on buying the sound card and try the onboard on your motherboard first. If you dont think its good enough buy a dedicated soundcard.
