Default Differences in RipJaws RAM?

Can you tell me if there are any specific differences between GSkill F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL Ripjaws RAM and F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL Ripjaws RAM?

The XL says “IntelXMP certified, designed for Intel P67 & Z68”. Will the RL work for both too?Thanks...

There basically the same thing, the only real difference I see is that they have slightly different heatspreaders. Either set should work fine.

The "designed for..." is marketing schemes to make people think its special. As Slay said, there's not much difference between the two.

That's good to hear. I noticed the heat spreader difference but figured there must be more to it than that.
I picked up a pair of RL's on today's deal at Newegg for $37.99 shipped. One more item towards building my first computer.
