Default desktop icon pics dissapear.

This is on my third build and the icon pictures disappear after i quit out of counter strike source and i was wondering why that happens?

It doesn't freeze or anything and i can still play games but the icon picture disappears and the words are still there.

You have more trouble out of that one than anything, man.

I don't use icons. I use ObjectDock instead.

All the times I have seen that happen, it was either a registry issue/corruption or the start of an OS corruption.

i used to have the same problem on my new rig. i would play a game and when i tabed out or quit i would have to hit alt+ctrl+del and then cancel out and it would all come back. Took me awhile before i relized i needed to upgrade the video drivers , and then it went away. Have you tried that?

Sounds like some sort of a windows corruption. If it's only happening when you come out of counter strike then try reinstalling CS, if it's happening coming out of other programs, then reinstall windows.
