Can I upgrade my Inspiron 580 to a:

[h=1]Intel Core i5 3570K Unlocked Quad Core Processor LGA1155 3.4GHZ Ivy Bridge 6MB Retail[/h]

[h=1]Gigabyte Radeon HD 6850 Windforce 820MHZ 1GB 4.2GHZ GDDR5 2xDVI HDMI Display Port PCI-E Video Card[/h]
and a 600W ATX PSU?

The Dell Inspiron 580 has an integrated video card in its motherboard from what I know. My friend says it only supports '1155' processors with its socket. Shouldn't the Inspiron 580 support the quad core 3.4ghz i5 processor that I'm planning to purchase?

Also, I'm not sure if a 6850 GPU will fit in my Inspiron 580's current case. Can I remove the current components of my Inspiron 580 and place them in a new case- ventilated and all, with dust filters? I'm looking for a case within a $1-$150 range on DirectCanada.com

My Inspiron 580's current specs:
Intel i5 dual core 3.2GHz
6GB ram
Motherboard: Dell 33FF6 Inspiron 580/580s Motherboard (I believe it's the motherboard for the Inspiron 580)

Your motherboard is a H57 chipset, which means it's an 1156 socket, which is incompatible with 2nd gen (Sandy Bridge) and 3rd gen (Ivy Bridge), so the processor you listed is incompatible. Do you have the Slim tower? If you do, no, a 6850 will not fit. You can't put a standard ATX PSU in the Slim case, and probably not in the mini, either.
