hi guys im going to crossfire two hd4850 cards but i have a question, i found a card that visual looks the sameas myn, exactly the same cooling unit ect, but on gpu-z the subvendor is different does the matter? my cards sub vendor is - ATI (1002) and the card im looking at buying is DELL (1028), will they work together or will this cause major problems?

both cards have 512mb

is there anything else i need to be aware of before purchasing?

comparing the gpu-z info i can see the bios is different on the two cards aswell

ok mguire, no worries, i didnt know if i should make a new thread or not :)

when u say chip, do you mean the 4850 bit, there both ATI Radeon HD 4850 512mb cards

could you confirm this will be ok please, if itis then im going to purchase me this second card :) £45 doesnt seem bad,

anyone got experiance with crossfire, isit good and or worth doing (isit worth spending the £45?)

Yes by chip, I mean the chip being physically a 4850 will match and Crossfire to any other 4850 or even a 4850x2.

I suppose since you already have a 4850 this would be the cheapest GPU upgrade option since you can get one so cheap.
